| Important Message to Crestview Parents | ||
| In an effort to provide a safe learning environment and respond to stakeholders' input, HCCSC is in the process of reimaging the middle school students' iPads with more protective and restrictive settings and profile. This reimaging process will begin on Monday, December 3. With this process starting, we want parents and students to be fully aware that any resetting of the school owned iPads back to Safari and their old apps is strictly forbidden by the school. Students may NOT change the name of their iPad or make changes to the configuration within the settings, other than what is allowed in our posted policies. If students rename the iPad, tamper with the profile in an attempt to gain access to another Internet browser other than Mobicip, or to gain access to non-school issued apps, the student is subject to disciplinary action. Please contact Mr. Werth or Mr. Ludlow if you have questions. Click on the blue link below for the letter to parents and form to be signed and returned. We appreciate your cooperation! HNHS Update Striving to meet HCCSC's Mission in the areas of Safe Learning Environment and Stakeholder Satisfaction, HCCSC has taken steps to limit students' access to social media sites, especially for non-instructional purposes. Social media sites like Facebook, MySpace, Friendster, Meetup, Yelp, Match.com, foursquare, Bebo, and Orkut have been blocked from student access at school. Other sites will be added if their usage becomes an issue. HCCSC is also investigating restrictions to iMessage and other texting applications through our File Wave software. HCCSC will re-examine individual sites on a case-by-case basis if there is an instructional need for the site.
